The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily status sassa basis. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a high influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
